The MyOTC.com Scholarship for Health Access is a $5,000 scholarship from Chapter to support the next generation of health care professionals.
Open to high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students pursuing careers in medicine, nursing, public health, or related fields, this scholarship invites students to think critically about one of the most important challenges in healthcare today: access.
Many individuals, especially older adults, face barriers to everyday health and wellness, even when benefits are available. For example, the average senior enrolled in Medicare Advantage receives $400 annually in over-the-counter (OTC) health credits, yet a significant portion goes unused due to lack of awareness or accessibility.
Through this scholarship, Chapter aims to highlight these gaps and support students who are passionate about improving health outcomes in their communities.
Submit a resume and a 250-word essay responding to the prompt: “What is one overlooked barrier to health and wellness in your community, and how would you help address it as a future healthcare professional?”
We’re looking for thoughtful reflections that highlight empathy and a sincere commitment to improving health outcomes.
